The Pit Bull With Lipstick?

Did the self-proclaimed "Hockey Mom" do it?

Sarah Palin made history by taking the state in St. Paul Wednesday. Did her glib punchlines open her up to even greater scrutiny? Did her challenging of "The Nominee Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken" do more than goose delegates at the Democratic National Convention?

Alaska's governor came off spunky, understated; like a hockey mom shooting the bull, waiting in the rink food court for her kids to emerge from their latest game.

You can expect her to undergo even more intense vetting from the national, and citizen media.
But as she pledged to the convention after accepting her party's nomination, she's ready for the fight.
You get the sense the country is about to learn how effective a politician she can be.
