Guilty Plea Enough to Get Bills Lynch?

Marshawn Lynch's impending plea deal to being behind the wheel of his SUV when it struck a Canadian woman may sound like the end of the a police blotter nightmare for Buffalo Bills fans.

Could it just be the start of the real trouble?

The NFL doesn't like its players hurting the citizenry, not since Roger Goodell started wearing the star. It's moved decisively for less with Goodell in the commissioner's office.

Lynch's record may be merely pinged by the infraction he'll plead guilty to in Traffic Court Wednesday or Thursday. And it may be an agreed upon charge that the Erie County D.A. and defense attorney for the injured woman may have signed off on.

But a civil case will raise conflicting witness accounts detailed by the Buffalo News. Did Lynch stop, realize what he'd done, then drive off, or merely motor away because he'd been distracted by another pedestrian?

Only then will we begin to know if the NFL intends to keep Lynch off the Buffalo sidelines this fall.
