Town Hall Time

Who needs a State of Upstate Address?

The one-and-only such spectacle at Buffalo State last year was Eliot Spitzer's last major speech in the region. Call it bad karma or David Paterson's need to get closer to the voters who seemingly matter the least to New York's power brokers, but the governor's not going to hold a second one.

Instead, as Politics on the Hudson reported Monday, Paterson will hold town hall meetings in upstate.

Paterson committed to at least four town-hall meetings across upstate, starting Sunday in Watertown. Other events are tentatively scheduled for Feb. 4 in Binghamton, Feb. 11 in Rochester, Feb. 12 at the state University College at Geneseo and Feb. 18 in Buffalo. Times and locations have not been finalized.

What would you hope to tell Paterson, should you get the chance before the microphone?
